Our Journey

Under construction!  Will be completed soon!

2002
  • July 13, 2002:  After waiting 3 days on Kyle to call, I went out on the date that would change my life forever.
  • November 16, 2002:  Kyle told me that he wanted to wait until a special occasion to ask me, but every day with me was special.  He said he loved me more than anything, and he asked me to marry him!  I said "YESSSSSS!!!!!"
2003
  • August 16, 2003:  I walked down the aisle to the Love of my Life.
  • August 17, 2003:  We decided to toss the BCP; we wanted to begin our family immediately!
2004
  • December 23, 2004:  After 14 months of trying, received our first + pregnancy test!  (These things do have two lines!!!!)
  • December 30, 2004:  After a trip to the ER, was told I was having a spontaneous miscarriage and to go home and wait it out.

2005
  • August 4, 2005:  Found out we were expecting again!!! :)
  • August 30, 2005:  Projected Due date for baby loss to first miscarriage. :(
  • September 6, 2005:  Went for my first ultrasound @ 8 weeks and was told the baby never developed.  Diagnosed with "blighted ovum" and required a D & C to remove it the same day.  Second worst day of my life.
2006
  • April 17, 2006:  Projected Due Date for baby loss to second miscarriage. :(
  • This year passed, but the memories are just a "blur."
  • I think this is when I began to slowly spiral downhill becoming withdrawn, depressed, and isolated.
  • We had now been trying to have a baby for 3 years.
2007
  • September 3, 2007:  I began blogging.
  • September 5, 2007:  Consult RE for IVF.  Had Day 3 blood work to measure FSH and other hormones; had an ultrasound to check uterine lining.  Diagnosed with Septum.
  • September 10, 2007:  Day 3 Test results were all on the "low side" which indicates red flags.
  • September 19, 2007:  New diagnosis of "Poor Ovarian Reserve." RE suggested we pursue IVF with donor eggs.
  • September 19, 2007:  Began praying for a miracle!
  • December 27, 2007:  My previous gynocologist had referred me to the RE based on tests.   I picked out a random gynocological office out of the yellow pages.  After careful consideration, I decided to seek a 3rd opinion.  Dr. R (aka Dr. Wonderful) agreed to work me in as a consultation appointment.
  • December 27, 2007:  I was given back my "hope."
  • December 28, 2007: Had 2nd HSG; tests indicates both tubes are open.
